Hey.. I’m Nate. Who are you?
Haai, doughnut buddy!
Howdy! How have you been?
Pleased to meet you Nate. So..uh, how are ya?
I’m pretty good, how about you?
“I’m not short! I’m funsized.” Kristen playfully defended herself as she let out a tiny giggle. She walked along with Nate and looked over at him as he complimented her shoes. “Oh, thanks! I like your’s too, but then again, who doesn’t like converse?” She chuckled and looked back down at her feet. “Okay, just don’t eat the glazed ‘cause those are mine, mister.” She nodded her head determinedly and smiled slightly.
"Okay okay," Nate raised his hands in defense. "Snack pack," he donned her a nickname. Nodding in agreement, he stared at their shoes both. "I guess we both have awesome taste in shoes, then." He looked around at their surroundings since they left the dorms. "Fine.. all the filled doughnuts are mine," Nate laughed. "Let’s go check the canteen then for doughnuts." He turned his direction towards the cafeteria.
Hey, I’m Nate.
Kristen was overly happy to be hunting for coffee and doughnuts with Nate for two reasons. One being that she couldn’t wait to get her hands on a doughnut and two being that she loved to make new friends. She thought Nate could be a potential new friend, and Kristen thought the fact that he liked doughnuts was a bonus. She heard a few knocks at the door and jumped up from the couch. “Hang on!” She called out before she walked around, looking for her blue vans. “Ah-a!” She said, as she grabbed them and slipped them on quickly. She ran over to her door and opened it with a smile. “Hello,” She greeted him as she pulled the door shut behind her. “Shall we go coffee and doughnut hunting now?” She asked, her smile getting brighter.
Nate rolled back on forth on the balls of his feet while he waited for her to come out, idly whistling a tune. He smiled as she walked out of her room, staring down at her. “Wow, you’re short,” he commented, quirking an eyebrow. Nate gave a joking chuckle and moved aside so she could walk out. “Anyways, yes. We shall,” he answered, grinning as they walked down the hallway. He stuck his hands in his pockets, staring at his feet as they walked. “Nice shoes,” he commented on her blue vans. “I seriously might eat all the doughnuts, though. I’m starving!”
I’m not sure. Probably just hang out with my friends. You could join us, if you’d like.
Sure, yeah.. That sounds nice. It’d be nice to meet some new people around here and to be in good company.
Nate slipped on an old pair of Converse before grabbing the key to his dorm and his wallet, walking out of the room. He hadn’t been making much of an effort lately with school, especially with skipping classes and refusing to do classwork. It was Greek to him how he made perfect grades, but he planned to keep it that way. Maybe it was just luck, not having to do hardly anything and still being able to do fairy decent on his exams. He just shrugged it off, not really concerned if teachers would take action or not. The campus here was absolutely gorgeous.. With Oxford like flair and an odd name. Nate secretly loved it. And now, he was going doughnut and coffee hunting with someone new. He was kind of excited, because being shucked up in a tiny dorm with your brother got old after five minutes or so. Walking up to the dorm he thought was Kristen’s, he knocked a few times and waited patiently for her to answer.
